Introducing Dr. Yousef Al-Assaf – President of Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai.

Dr. Al-Assaf had his PhD from Oxford University and leadership training from Cornell University. He is a widely published and academic and senior education management professional with extensive international experience.

During his tenure at RIT Dubai, he has ensured that the institute plays a major role in the ecosystem of Dubai Silicon Oasis and supporting the achievements of Dubai vision. He introduced a number of new programs, certifications and initiatives to meet the needs of public and technology partners

Dr.Nagwa ElShenawy – INITIATOR AND PROFESSOR OF DIGITAL ECONOMY

Dr ElShenawy is currently working as Undersecretary for Information & Decision Support at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT). She is also leading the Program Management Unit of the ecommerce Strategy in Egypt. She is the initiator and the manager of the ICT for women initiative at the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology. She had been the advisor to the Minister of International Cooperation for Western Europe, EU and European Investments banks. She has 20 years’ experience in developing strategies and policies related to the ICT sector in Egypt, Arab and African Countries. She also has experience in conducting studies, setting methodologies, producing statistics and indicators to evaluate and assess the ICT sector performance & development. She is active member in digital economy & ICT experts’ groups formed by the UN international organizations including the ITU. She conducted successful negotiations on the bilateral and the multilateral levels in several areas of interest to the Egyptian Government. She has been recently elected to chair the Arab experts group for the ICT Indicators at the General Secretariat of the Arab League. She is one of the early founders of the Council of Ministers Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) where she has occupied various senior positions including Director of Decision Support Sector and Director of International Cooperation Sector. Dr ElShenawy holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management in Netherlands, and a diploma in AI. She is also graduated from Harvard Business School.
